My life was rather deeply interrupted in 2010. I had just left pastoring, run out of money, and my 17 year old daughter became pregnant. Just before all of that happened, I published a Foy story called “Witness,” which was set in his childhood in Fort Davis, Texas. I had finished part one and was about to start part two when Shelby made her big announcement.
After that I was kind of busy for about 9 months.
The story was published at Real Live Preacher, but I never put it on the Foy Davis site and had forgotten about it. I just finished rewriting part one and will post it here in the next few days. Then I’ll start working on part two.
This story give us our first close look at Foy’s father, whose name is Van Davis.
